Is there not an easier way to login to Salesforce when SSO (Single Sign-On) is already enabled?

The answer is: Yes, there is a much convenient way to login for your Salesforce users.

Step 1

We assume SSO is already enabled on your Salesforce My Domain.

Step 2

Enable ‘Delegated Authentication’

Even if we will not configure delegated authentication, we need the functionality, therefor please enable the function Disable login with Salesforce credentials in the ‘Single Sign-On Settings’

Step 3

Remove the Salesforce ‘Login Form’ from your Salesforce My Domain Loin Screen

In the My Domain Settings, remove the “Login Form”

Time to test it!

Navigate to your ‘My Domain’ URL that has Single Sign-On enabled.

The user will be redirected to the IdP (Identity provider) and if the FederationID was set correctly, the SSO will login your user automatically into Salesforce.
